Just had a weather forecast. I could be stuck in this storm till 1st December. Winds of 25kts, gusting 45kts. Scarey.

felicity_aston Yay! Crossed into the 87th degree today. Only 3 degrees to go to the South Pole.

felicity_aston The mountains have gone. I now have a completely empty 360 horizon until Thiels mtns 800kms away.

felicity_aston Passed 88 today! Really pleased. The Pole feels so close!

felicity_aston My cough is back with gusto. Several coughing fits stopped me dead and gasping for air. Still did 15nm – best yet!

felicity_aston I can see the South Pole station on the horizon! A long dark blob less than 10nm away!
